Puja Ghosh has completed her B.Sc. from Rammohan College affiliated with the University of Calcutta. After completing her Bachelor’s, degree she took admission in IGNOU for Master’s in English where she faced challenges as she was from science background. She always had a passion for teaching and that eventually led her to enrol in Asian College of Teachers’ SEN program. Now with her newly earned degree, she’s looking forward to work in the field of special education and excel as an educator.

She was working as a speech language therapist by the time she enrolled in ACT’s SEN course. Working as a speech language therapist (trainer) she felt that specialised therapy can only be availed by those children whose family were affluent enough to afford it and that everyone in general couldn’t afford this as it costs a huge sum of money. This kind of therapy or identifying issues were not incorporated in schools until even some time back as in India, there was not much awareness about inclusivity in education. She was looking for a course that is short, crisp, apt and budget friendly and ACT’s SEN program rightly fitted her needs as she wanted to venture into the field of teaching. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the entire team of ACT for making her learning journey smooth and meaningful. The knowledge she gained from the program has been extremely beneficial for her as she thinks that it will help her immensely. The program provided her with a clear picture of what it is like to be teaching in an inclusive classroom / inclusive school. It also helped her to understand the ways to treat both special and general kids in an inclusive set up. Now she feels confident to work in the field of inclusive teaching.
